TEAL WICKS IS THE NEW ELPHABA IN LA

Apparently there was some confusion, but Teal Wicks took over for Caissie Levy last Tuesday as the Principle Elphaba in Los Angeles. Marcie Dodd is the New Standby starting may 20, and Courtney Corey remains the Elphaba Understudy.

I just saw Wicked for the first time yesterday after having listened to the cd hundreds of times and just finished the book. Let me say, this is THE best production ever. It exceeded my expectations and Teal was AMAZING!!!

i have seen wicked three times in LA and each time with a different actress playing Elphaba. Out of the three I have seen, i have to say that Teal is my fav!! she has such a strong voice, but she's not screaming, she plays elphaba in a way i've never seen her be played before. she is truly amazing!

I just saw Teal Wicks as Elphaba, and she stole the show. My sister saw Cassie and Teal. She really like Cassie, but thought Teal was superior.

I saw WICKED this last saturday night and TEAL WICKS was amazing! Erin Mackey and Teal have such a good chemistry together..their voices blended perfectly and there was such harmony between their voices! I was so moved by their voices! I was even able to get their autographs and pics with them! I loved it and I am going back. GO SEE IT!!!!!!!!! <33333333

She's really something. I was impressed that she was able to hit every note spot on throughout the entire show on a Wednesday night!

I saw Teal Wicks with Megan Hilty awhile back with my cousin and we were blown away!!!!! We cheered sooo loud after defying gravity that everyone around us looked at us when the lights came on. I saw her again 3 day ago with my aunts and once again, she proved to be one of the best Elphaba's I had ever seen! And when I met her after the show, I was star-struck. But she was sooooooo nice!!!!!! I cant wait to see her again.

Not being a big theater guy, I saw Wicked last night with my kids and I was completely blown away. I had no predetermined opinions to compare it to so my response was truly honest with Teal Wickes and Megan Hilty giving the best performances I have ever seen in a musical. This is great entertainment in every way and the first act showstopper "Defying Gravity" was simply the best number I have ever scene on stage. BRAVO!

I just got back from the show in LA with Teal. Wow, she raised the bar, defying gravity, and has given me a completely fresh look and interest in contemporary musical theater.

Two more things. Teal adjusts her dynamics during her duets to match her co-performers and that is a true professional and skilled musician. Oh yea, her last name is perfect for the show!

My husband and I have seen Wicked three times in the last three weeks for one reason: Teal Wicks. She is awesome! She's the best Elphaba. She blows the competition away not only with her powerful voice but with her phenomenal acting. Great job Teal!

I went to college with Teal, and we always, ALWAYS knew she was going places. I'm so glad that place is Oz.

Teal Wicks is definately the most talented actress to step into the role of Elphaba!! She is phenomonal. I have seen video of Marcie Dodd (the standby) and I must say I was not impressed. I respect her talent but thre is just no comparing to Teal. I really feel they need a stronger standby to hold up to the sheer power of Teal Wicks. She is the embodiment of Elphaba.

Teal Wicks took my breath away as my favorite character in the play. Her acting and her singing voice are superb. The only regret I have is that I am not able to purchase the soundtrack with her singing.

Teal Wicks is incredible! Her voice is beautiful in this role...very similar to Idina in fact. However, Idina often sounded like she was screaming on the big notes and has a bad habit of taking very noticeble deep breaths between verses. Teal, on the other hand, holds her notes perfectly and her breathing is seemless. Can't wait to see her again!

I've seen Wicked three times, each time with a different Elphaba. Teal Wicks was really good, but Eden Espinosa was the best.

As a TV/film actor myself, I have a huge respect for fellow performers, and while everyone was excellent in the cast, Teal Wicks was an amazing standout...her voice is amazing beyond words, and I would just KILL for someone to make a soundtrack CD with her performance on it, especially during "no good deed"...I was in the orchestra section and simply mesmerized...I wish she'd stay past Oct...
