Randy Danson will replace Kathy Fitzgerald as Madame Morrible on Tuesday, 12/13

Randy Danson who recently finished up her two year run with the 1st National Tour of Wicked, will fly into the Broadway Company beginning this Tuesday, December 13, as Madame Morrible, replacing Kathy Fitzgerald, who began her run last summer. Congrats to Randy, and Best Witches to Kathy! :)

For those of you who have just "discoverated" WICKED, Wicked has won Three Tony Awards, a Grammy Award, and many many other major Theatre Prizes. Wicked opened on Broadway on October 30, 2003 at the George Gershwin Theatre in NYC, and is still running. January 26th, 2005 NYC

We arrived at the Gershwin Theatre at about 7:30 pm, and we sat down in our seats which were pretty good.The witches were Shoshana Bean and Jennifer Laura Thompson. When the lights went down, and the "big voice" came on over the theatre, and announced that "at this performance the role of the Witch's mother would be played by Kristen Leigh Gorski, and Shanna Van Derwerker would be joining the company." The music came on and the show was fabulous. I had heard the CD, and Sho's "The Wizard and I" was even better than Idina's! (Idina is still amazing) "Defying Gravity" was so amazing. Jennifer Laura Thompson...Very well done. She stuck to the score, and she did not riff at all, yet there was something that made it seem as though she was not sticking to the score at all. She made the role her own, and yet, she did not have to riff to do it. Shoshana... POWERHOUSE! Completley amazing, did better than Idina (Idina is still amazing). her ending note in Defying Gravity was soooo POWERFUL!

July 17, 2005 Chicago

We went to border's books before the show, and we arrived at the Oriental Theatre around 7:45. We opened the Playbills to find out we would be seeing Ana Gasteyer and Kate Reinders. Kate's Popular was amazing, and Ana's "Defying Gravity" was Phenomenal. Kristy Cates was the Elphaba Standby. Kate had a very good soprano, and did a very good job. Has a very good voice, though she definitely improved in NYC. Ana did a very nice job. No, she does not riff. She made up for it, with her clear voice, and amazingly powerful vocals. Defying Gravity was great, and her ending note was really spectacular. She only kept that ending for a while, then did more of the regular ending like Idina, and on Broadway, her ending was Kind of like a Saycon Sengbloh ending... Principals can learn from their standbys!

October 21, 2006 Toronto

We arrived at the Canon Theatre at about 7:30. We sat down, and because this was in Canada, it was called a Programme instead of a Playbill. We were seeing Shoshana Bean (again!) and Megan Hilty. The show was fabulous. The best I had ever seen it performed. Megan was awesome, and Sho was even better than NYC! Victoria Matlock was the Elphaba Standby. Shoshana did a very nice job. Still has a lot of energy, which went toward her totally cool riffs. She is THE RIFFING QUEEN! No one (no Eden Fans, not even Espinosa, THE Espinosa, although she is one of my faves.) can beat Sho's riffs. AMAZING! Megan Hilty... what can I say... PERFECT. That would be the word. She has a very powerful voice, and at the end of No One Mourns the Wicked, and Thank Goodness, she hit the Hilty High Note! Had a very good Popular, (later I Would find out that NONE can beat Ms. Katie Rose Clarke) and put perfect energy into everything!

after the show:

We went to the stage door, I got to talk to a girl who had seen the show 6 times! She was very nice. And we were there for while, but then finally, inside the theatre door, I saw P.J. Benjamin (The Wizard) He came out and signed my Programme. After about five more minutes Megan Hilty came out and she signed My programme, and I got a picture with her! Next was Alma Cuervo (Morrible) She signed My programme, and next out was Cliffton Hall (Fiyero) He signed My programme, and the girls next to me went crazy. They asked to borrow my pen, and I let them. and for the grand finale...Shoshana Bean came out!She signed my programme in silver! I also got a picture with her. Then, finally, we went back to the hotel. I was really upset when I found out that Victoria Matlock was sitting right behind me, and I did not Meet her!

June 30, 2007 Columbus

I did not see the show that night, but I went to the stage door, because sometimes, the actors do not come out after the matinee (which I would be seeing the next day) so I went to the door, and the show was not over yet, so we waited. After the show ended, a bunch of people came out and there was two girls who needed a marker, so I gave one to them. (One of their Names was Britney I think?) But they were really excited, and I was asking them what understudies were on that night, and they told me. I met several Members of the Ensemble, including, Lori Holmes, Jennifer Balagna, Laura Woyasz, Adam Sanford, Kyle Hill, and many, many, many more. Elphaba was played by Coleen Sexton that Night, so We met her!! I also met Christina DeCicco (Glinda) Marcie Dodd (Nessarose, she is an understudy who performed that night) P.J. Benjamin (The Wizard) Barbara Tirrell (Madame Morrible) Kyle McDaniel (Fiyero) Tom Flynn (Dillamond.) We missed Brad Weinstock (Boq), as He had left, and nobody had recognized him.:( Everyone was very nice. First out was Tom Flynn (Doctor Dillamond). I thanked Him for the letter, the Playbill, and the Signed photo in the mail, and he looked up at me and smiled. Then I asked him what the Dillamond Mask was like every night, and he replied "well it's made of foam, and a lot of other things, and it is really hot inside." Then, a few ensemble members came out, and I talked to them about the show... I talked to Marcie Dodd (Nessarose) and told her she was great. She was nice. She Signed my program, and Laura Woyasz said a friendly "hello" and signed my program, and told me who she played (ensemble u/s Glinda) P.J. Benjamin (the Wizard) was out next, and I said "You were the Wizard Right?" and he said "Yes. On good days i am the Wizard" LOL! I told him that I saw him in Toronto, and he was like "Really?'. I talked to Lori Holmes, and i had a small conversation with her, before she left. I talked to Christina DeCicco (by the way, her last name is pronounced Dee-Cheek-oh) I gave her a poster that I drew of her as Glinda, and A mini poster I did, and a letter, and she said that the letter and mini-poster would go in her "stage door gifts" book with their own page! I asked her if Victoria Matlock was going to be O.K. and she replied "she's coming back next week." She was sooooo nice. She had a smile on the whole time. Barbara Tirrell was out next, and I exclaimed out loud "oh!" and she got really excited, because she said that that was the first time anyone had exclaimed like that. I thanked her for the signed stuff she sent me in the mail. Coleen Sexton Was very nice. She hurried along, and signed people's stuff, and she stopped to talk to me about a fan letter I sent her, I asked her "Did you get a leter from me*? She was like "yes! It's upstairs in my room!" and I also asked her if Fiyero was going to come out. She replied "He's usually the last one out. Then Kyle Came out, and walked up to us, and I told him he was great, and I said: "Tomorrow is your last show, right?" And he said "Yeah! You're really smart!" I said "I check your website a lot.". When we left, Coleen was walking with her parents in the same direction as us, so I called back "great job!" and she was like "thank you very much!"

July 1st 2007 Columbus

O.k. The Show was amazing! Coleen was great!! Christina DeCicco was sooooooo funny! Kyle Dean Massey was on for the first time as Fiyero, and he did great! Lori Holmes was on As Nessarose, and Amy Michelle Allen was on as the Witch's mother. They both did a great job!! Well, I usually name the Standbys, but since there were technically none, as The Standby was ON haha, in this case Marcie Dodd was the "cover."Coleen's vocals were outstanding. She hit every note perfectly in "Defying Gravity", and in "The Wizard and I", she belted out really well, and her voice mixed extremely well with Kyle Dean Massey for "As Long as You're Mine". Christina DeCicco, was perfectly amazing, though she did not hit the high note (made famous by the incredible Megan Hilty and Kristin Chenoweth)that performance. Oh well, she was still great. Her "Popular" made me laugh so hard, my stomach hurt. She was jumping around, and gasping for breath, but It all blended in. I'm sad she's gone! The catfight was PERFECT! Really well done On Christina and Coleen's part.

after the show...

We basically did the same thing as the night before. Only a few different people were on. We met everybody again, and they were super nice. I got a program signed both nights. The only difference was, Morrible did not come out :( But we met her the night before, so it did not kill me, but it would have been nice to meet her again! I got to have a few conversations with everyone again as well... Lori Holmes came out again, and I talked to her about Cliffton and DeeDee Magno Hall, and she told me they were married, and traveled around with their one year old Son Kaeden. I noticed that she Still had her Nessarose Eyeliner on. She was so nice! I talked to Kyle Dean Massey, and Asked him if it was his first time as Fiyero, and he said "yeah it was. It was really great!" I talked to Christina DeCicco about my Seats, and she asked me "did you have good ones?" And she also thanked me for coming back to say hi to her again. Paul Slade Smith Came out (he was the Witch's father) and He asked us if we liked the show. Coleen was very Nice. She answered my question about the dressing room. I asked if she had her own, or if she used Victoria's, and she Replied "Victoria's" She was smiling, and signing people's stuff. She is very nice in person. After we met Coleen, and a few other Ensemble members, we left...

CLEVELAND, 7:00 pm

We were in the State Theatre, and the doors were not open yet, and there was a Broadway store right next door in the theatre. So I went in there and talked to two people who were seeing the show. I bought a Magnet, and A poster for everyone to sign after the show.

THE SHOW...was AMAZING.

Carmen Cusack is by far the best Elphaba I have seen so far. She was extremely powerful when she was singing, and her acting was INCREDIBLE! In the Catfight, when Katie Slapped her, her hat fell off!! At the End of "As Long as You're Mine, she deepened her voice, when she says "WICKED" so it sounded really funny. Katie Rose Clarke was Hilarious. She was awesome throghout the whole show!! She was super funny, and she sang and acted well! In the Catfight Scene, her wand spin was the best I have ever seen! It lasted about 20 seconds, and She spun it really fast . Occasinally, you could hear Katie's Texas Accent :)
Brad Weinstock was even better than when I saw him in Columbus! (Yes, he was great there too!) He did a really nice job! In the Classroom scene when Elphaba casts a spell over the class, Brad's Hat fell off when he was dancing! He was also really nice at the Stage Door, and I am so glad I got to meet him!!! Cliffton Hall as Fiyero was phenomenal. He hit all the right notes in the songs, and his acting has greatly improved since Toronto. (It was great then too:) ) Deedee Magno Hall...What Can I say. Amazing. Best Nessarose I've ever seen (well, there is a bit of competition between her and Lori Holmes) so hard for me to decide. Anyway, I was amazed at how well she could hit those notes SITTING DOWN!Tom Flynn- Great, amazing acting and great singing, improvement from Columbus (he was great there as well)Alma Cuervo- AMAZING. Perfectly Evil, so nice @ the Stage door, wonderful singer and actor... that's all I can say.
Lee Wilkof- Amazing Wizard, great job. Did perfectly with solos, and acting, and he was just great.
Donna Vivino was obviously the Elphaba Standby...
The Whole Cast was Amazing. That was the Most Amazing Defying Gravity I have ever heard.

AFTER THE SHOW

We Missed Curtain Call, so we could run back to the Stage Door, to Meet the cast, and Get the Backstage Tour from Donna Vivino, and Brad Weinstock. We waited like 20 seconds, and then Ryan Rose Came out, and signed my poster. Then Meggie Cansler, and Jennifer Balagna came out and They signed my poster. I asked Meggie Cansler if she had been on Broadway and she was like "Yeah!" And I said "Do You Know Briana-" "Yacavone, yeah I do! " I said "She's Awesome" and she said "Yes, I know, I took over her track..." I asked them if Donna Vivino was here, and they said that they thought that she left. Then A couple more People Came out (Kyle Dean Massey, Andrew Madsen, Spencer Jones Bryan West) And signed my poster. I said "Hi Kyle! I saw you in Colubus as Fiyero on July 1st, and he said" Yeah. I sprained my ankle that night! I was out of the show for 10 days!" Then Merideth Clark came out, and I told her my name, and we talked, and she remembered my emails. I said "Hi Merideth I'm K....." And she said "Oh! that's right we spoke through email! How are you?" Then Nova Bergeron came out, and we talked a little bit. Everyone thought that I was "genius" because I knew who everyone was! The Brad Came out and I said "Hi Brad I'm (my name). He said "Yes! I saw you in the audience tonight." I said "You were awesome tonight, better than Columbus!" Then he looked up, and I laughed and said "Yes, you were awesome in Columbus too." He said "Oh good." and laughed. Then we went backstage, and He got Cliffton and Deedee Magno Hall to come down from their dressing rooms, and I got to chat with them a bit, and Got a picture. Then Carmen Cusack Came out of her dressing room, and I gave her the "Elphabook" that I made for her. She kept saying "This is so Beautiful! Here K...., Give me a hug!" Then She signed my "Grimmerie" on the pic of the Catfight scene, where I replace Idina and Kristin's Head with Carmen and Katie's. She found it so funny! Then Brad Weinstock Took me to the backstage Area, and I got to see the lift that Elphaba flies in, the Bubble, and THE HAT OF ELPHABA, AND THE WAND OF GLINDA! There was also a Pic. of Christina DeCicco, signed backstage. We Ran Into Alma Cuervo (Morrible) and she signed my poster. We talked about Morrible, and Carole Shelley :) I gave her the poster that I drew of her, and she was like "Oh my gosh! Is that for me?" We Missed Katie Clarke!!!!! But Brad was really nice!! And he told me that He would give Katie her poster, and Donna her calendar. More to come on this post...... I am never going to forget how kind Brad was... He is my fave. Boq ever, and I'm gonna be really sad when he leaves :( I also got to talk to Donna on the phone whcich was AMAZING...

July 12, 2008 12:00 a.m. Buffalo, NY

Before the show:We found the Theatre, and ran to the Stage Door, to wait for the cast To come in. I had a poster I was going to get signed, and My friend Andrew did not bring anything, but was planning on getting pictures with the cast... Well, He did not feel well, so after about 30 minutes of waiting, he went into Shea's Performing arts Center's Intermission Lounge. And about 2 minutes after that, Phillip Dean Lightstone came down, and Signed my poster. After anither 10 minutes, Joe Dulude II (the Makeup designer) came down, and he signed my poster and Grimmerie, and we talked for about Ten Minutes. He went in, and about 5 minutes later, Terra Lynn Arrington came down, and signed my poster, and she remembered me from Columbus (Amazing Memory!). Then Lori Holmes, Lauren Masiello (Witch's Mother) and Paul Slade Smith (Witch's Father) came and signed my poster... Lauren was amazed that I recognized her immediatley, And Lori remembered me! Paul was awesome too! Then I met Myra Lucretia Taylor (the Next Madame Morrible) and she told me she would look for me in the Future shows. we talked for a LONG time, and she was so nice! Then Alma Cuervo and Meggie Cansler Came, and I recognized both of them immediatley. I talked to them, and Alma said, Oh Yeah! Meggie's on as Glinda Today! So I had her sign my Grimmerie on the Pic that Carmen signed back in Cleveland. Alma signed my poster, and went in (She was SO AWESOME!) And I got A picture with Meggie. Meggie also remembered me!!! we waited like 30 mre seconds, and then Alma popped her Head out of the Stage Door and She said "Were you the one who did that Morrible Drawing for me in Cleveland?" I said "yes!!" and She said"Yes! I remember you! You just look so Different every time I see you! The Poster is hanging up over my dressing table!" Then Spencer Jones, Ryan Patrick Kelly, Adam Sanford, and Mark Shunkey (Chistery) came over and signed my poster, and I told Spencer that I saw him perform as Chistery in Cleveland, and HE REMEMBERED ME TOO!! I told Ryan that he was on the website in LA, NYC, and on Tour, he said "Yeah! They Need to Update.... Wait, I remember you! I was talking to you backstage in Cleveland!" Then I met Karla Puno Garcia, and I started talking to her, and she remembered me! Then, is when I met Mitchell who was also getting Signatures (He left a few Comments in the C-Box) Then we met Andrew Madsen...... I also Met Lee Wilkof, and He was very nice! I talked to Merideth Clark again, and She told me she remembered me! Then we met David Hull!! Yay! I had never met him Before! Then Christopher Russo came, and I talked to him, and Told him that I saw him as Dr. Dillamond in Toronto, and the Witch's Father in Cleveland. And he went in and popped his head Back out after he checked who was performing, and said "yes, Carmen will be on today!" (I had asked him) Thern I met Betsy Werbel and Kristine Reese, and Tom Flynn, Bryan West, and Blake Whyte AND Melissa Bohon. Tom, and Bryan remembered me, and the other 4 I had never met, but I chatted with them for a while! Then, I was facing the other way, and I heard, "Hey Kyle! How are you?" I turned around... Bum Bum Bum IT WAS BRAD!!!! YAYAYAYAYAY! lol. We talked for like 10 minutes, and he signed my poster and Grimmerie. Then He said "I have to go, but I'll see you after!" Then I met Carmen Cusack (Again) !!!!!! I talked to her about how amazing she was (lol) and Dee Roscioli. She remembered me from Cleveland :) I got a picture with her... Then Deedee Magno Hall came down, and I talked to her, and I got a Hug.... Then Cliffton came down. I chatted with him and then he went in, and I waited for Donna Vivino, but she did not get there yet, so I ran to the Stage Door, and Talked to Ryan Rose, (who I had met earlier) and I said Ryan, can you give a message to Donna Vivino......?" Then we went into the theatre to see....

The Show:
Was incredible.
Carmen Cusack's Defying Gravity blew me away as did her "Wizard and I" and "No Good Deed". She will never cease to amaze me. Meggie Cansler as Glinda- Amazing. She did a phenomenal Job. She was really funny, and she was just totally awesome.
Cliffton- Incredible as usual. Did perfectly with everything.
Lee as the Wizard- Awesome. Did perfectly with solos, and He is just the best Wizard I have seen. Alma Cuervo was really amazing. Awesome energy, great singing, and Perfect Job! its a shame she left the next day. Deedee was awesome, amazingly powerful voice. She could play Elphaba someday!Brad was INCREDIBLE!! Awesome job, He was just awesome... Tom was, As Usual, just fantastic! really nice voice!
After the Show-

We went Back to the Stage Door, and We met everyone again...I met Donna Vivino!!!!!!!! She was so incredibly awesome!! She was so nice to come down to meet me!!! Andrew also got to talk to her! I was just so thrilled to meet her!Meggie came out pretty Quickly. She came directly to me, and said "How did I do?" I said: You were AMAZING. She looked like A Child who did not expect to get any presents at Christmastime...

she said "Oh My Gosh, that is so Sweet, Thank You!" Then She signed my Souvenir Program, and Sad "By the way, thank you for all of your support, also thanks for knowing us all by name, It means alot!" Then I gave her a little Glinda Statue That I originally intended for Katie, but she was not there, so I gave it to Meggie, who I felt deserved it after such an awesome performance... She and Katie are my FAVORITE Glinda's! (Everyone else blows the roof off too :) Then Ryan Patrick Kelly came out, and I talked to him a bit more. I met most of the ensemble again, and Lee came out, and asked me where I live, and I tld him. Brad came out, and I told him he was amazing, and he said "Thanks!" He signed the program, and Alma cam out, and signed, and I got a picture with her, and she kept thnking me for the Morrible drawing. Then, Cliffton Hall came out with Deedee, and they are so friendly, they remembered me obviously, they are just really awesome people! I also met their son Kaeden! Kaeden is AWESOME! lol. Tom came out, and signed, and Carmen came out, and right when she did,it starded raining. Now, the stage door at this theatre, was: The entrance to the theatre is on the street, and then to the right, there is a little "cutout", with Tables, and the door is there, and then ther is a little door a bit to the right of the Stage door, for actors who come out, but don't want to sign anything... and it is elevated, and it is separated by a rail from the Stage door, it is a completley diff. exit. Carmen came out of that one, not because she did not want to sign, but because it was raining, and my friend Andrew was standing there, so when she came out, he was like, Kyle! Carmen's up here! so I went up as quietly as possible, but everyone saw me, and Carmen was SURROUNDED! but she was so nice, and Loved the Poster I gave her with my drawing of her as Elphaba. She signed my program, (once on the outsde, and once on a page on the inside) and after that we left, but all the actors REMEMBERED ME, I love the Touring cast, they are AMAZING people, and they are so talented! And they are so NICE! It's pretty awesome that whenever I see them, they are all like "Oh hey K....!" completley casually :)
1:00 pm, Gershwin Theatre Stage Door, NYC, February 8, 2009.
I did not see the show this day, but I went to the Stage Door, to meet the cast coming in. The First one to enter was Jayne Houdyshell... She came in, and I said "Hey Jayne!" (I had seen her in a restaurant the night before, and said Hi!) And she signed my poster... She went in for the show. Next in was Samantha Zack, who remembered me from Cleveland... She told me that I had a great memory to remember her, and she signed the poster... Next one in was Michael DeVries, he asked me if I was seeing the show today, and I said, No, I'm seeing it on Tuesday, I told him I was really excited. He shook my hand and Asked my name, and Said, so nice to meet you... Next in Was Briana Yacavone (who was so cool to meet) I said "Hey! How was LA?" She said "It was great, it was so warm there compared to here, and, you got a really nice day here compared to every other day!" Next in was P.J. Benjamin... He said "Hey! You've been here before!" I said "Yeah!" and he signed and went in. Next in was the ever so amazing NICOLE PARKER! She walked up, and she had a scarf covering her face, so I asked, "Hey are you in Wicked?" and she pulled off the scarf right as I asked, and At the saime time, she said "Yes! I'm Nicole" and at that time, I said "Oh! Your'e Nicole!" she asked my name, and she wrote "to K...." then signed... She asked "When are you seeing the show?" I said "tuesday" she said "All Right! see you then!" I then got a picture with her, and I told her she was HILARIOUS on MadTv, and told her she NAILED Britney Spears, and she said "Thanks!" and "Enjoy the Show on tuesday!" and Gave me a high five... She then went in. Then Robin Wilner came in, and Signed. She was very nice. Next in Was Nova Bergeron, and Lindsay K. Northen. They came in at the same time, so Nova signed, and I said"Hey! I met you like twice on tour!" She said "Oh Yeah! Great Memory!" and thanked me for coming. Then Lindsay popped her head out and said "Hey K... do you want me to sign? I said "Yeah! Thanks!" She said "I'm Glinda today, I just found out... Next in Was Alex Brightman (Boq) He was coming to the door, and he stopped to talk to a lady from the stage crew outside about something that had made him "Laugh harder than he ever had." Then he walked up to me, and said "Hey!" And I said "Are you Alex?" and he said "yeah!" I said "Will you sign?" He said "yeah! I'd love to! Is right around here cool?" (He was indicating a spot on the Glinda side of the poster) I said "Yeah!" "Are you seeing the show today?" and I said "No, I'm seeing you guys on Tuesday!" He said "What's your Name?" so I told him, and he said, "Ok! Hope to see you on tuesday! Drop by and I'll say hey after!" so I thanked him, and he went in. Next in was Jonathan Warren, who I had run into the night before, and he said 'Oh Hey!" and I said "hey Jonathan!" So he signed and went in... Next in were Sam J. Cahn (Chistery) and Jonathan McGill. I said "Hey Sam!" And he did a bit of a double take, saying "oh! Wow! I can't believe you know my name!" He and Jonathan signed... Next in was Adam Perry, and When i asked him to sign, he said sure and then stopped, and said who he played (Ensemble) as if he was unsure if I still wanted him to sign, but of course, I did. Everyone in the show is equally important, and I hate it when people don't get the Ensemble's signatures, because they are a huge part of the show! I always encourage people at the stage Door to get them to sign, and they usually do! Next in wasRobin Wilner, and I asked her to sign, and she said "yeah!" and signed! She was very nice! Next was Kathy Santen, who had rushed away last time, but she is very nice, and Signed, and asked if I was seeing the show today, and I told her I was on Tuesday... Next was Lindsay Janisse, who I trecognized immediatley, and I asked her to sign, and she looked a bit taken aback, and she said "Yeah! of course!" and autographed it! Next up was Adam Fleming, and I recognized him and we talked for a few minutes about him playing Boq in Chicago... He too seemed shocked that I recognized him. Next in was Aaron Tveit, who I was really excited to meet, because he did not Stage Door last time I was in NYC... So i asked him to sign, and got a picture, and He asked if I was seeing the show that day and I said "No, on tuedsay..." and he said "Cool! I'll be there!" and went in. Next in was Tony Galde, who signed, and seemed to remember me from the last time I was there, and said "How many times have you seen the show?" I said "Tuesday will be my 7th" and he asked "Have you been backstage yet?" and I said "Yeah, Brad Weinstock took me back in Cleveland" and He said "Oh, Have you been back here yet?" and I said "No" and he asked me if I wanted to go backstage on Tuesday at 6, and I said "Sure!" and then He turned to my Dad and Introduced himself. He then asked my dad if it was ok if We went backstage on Tuesday, and My dad said "Sure!" and Tony said "Wait, are you seeing the show today as Well?", and I said "no, were seeing Shrek at 3." and he said "Oh well, I could take you back right now!" and we said "Sure!" soo we went in the Door, and were waiting for the Elevator, and Tony was talking to us, and asked me where I had seen the show, and I told him... The elevator FINALLY got there lol, so we go up, and there is a costume lady, who wheels a cart into the elevator, and I got to see the Emerald Cty costumes UP CLOSE! AHHHH! So Tony takes us backstage, and shows us the green baby, and the props, and the sets, with the 2 grimmeries, and the "Dancing Through Life" Hat, with the giant Flower on it... I see the "As Long as you're mine" Fiyero Lantern, and then we walk onstage. It was BREATHTAKING. I had set foot on a few Professional stages before, but seeing the Gershwin Theatre from that point of view, the very first Broadway Theatre I was ever in, was totally cool. Tony shows us the Hydraulic elevatore for "No Good Deed" where Nicole (or ELphaba) comes up for that scene. He shows us the melting Trapdoor, and at the VERY edge of the stage, right by the pit, there are fans that blow UP, so that hen all of the fog comes out onstage, it does not fill the pit. Also, many people have probably wondered, but those four little circles in the middle of the stage are the fans that blow Up on ELphaba in No Good Deed. I got to see the Bubble UP CLOSE as well! It was down about 5 ft off of the Stage. It was SO COOL! Then, we went off to Stage right, and I saw the Midwwife mask, and some of the Opening stuff. Then, I turn around, and Nicole Parker is walking toward the Stage, and I say "hey Nicole!" and she says "Oh! Hey again K...! You get to watch Lindsay and I practice the FIGHT!", So then Lindsay walks past, and I say Hi, and so does she. Nicole puts the Hat on, and they begin to practice. That was AMAZING getting to watch! Then Tony walks my Dad and I back to the Elevator. Dad asks Tony if there is any advice he has for me, as this is what I want to Do someday, (I was so busy looking around that I forgot to ask) and He talked to me for about 15 minutes, but to sum it up in a few scentences, he told me to Work EXTREMELY HARD, have a good work ethic, and to let this be something you DO, not something you ARE. He told me to not go in over my head, and to be greatful when I get a role. He gave me some AWESOME advice, and I will definatley keep it in mind. It will be so helpful. So as we are about to leave, I see Brynn O' Malley (Nessa) and Timothy (a.k.a Toby) Parker (Dillamond) talking, so I go over, and say "hey! Are you Brynn?" She says "Yes! I am!" I say "Will you sign this poster?" She says "Sure!" She signs, and smiles, and hands it back to me, and ther is an announcement over the loudspeaker that "...there is cake in the green room, Have a great Birthday!" So I ask Brynn "Is it your birthday?" she said "Oh! No, it's Toby's!" So I turn around, and wish him a Happy Birhtday. "Thanks!" He says. "Will you sign?" "Sure! Are you seeing us today?" "No, on Tuesday" "Oh! Cool! Hope to see you then!" (well his u/s was on, but he was prob on a BIRTHDAY ADVENTURE! HAHA lol. So he signs, and we leave to go see Shrek (Which was AMAZING!)

Tuesday, February 10, 2009, 7pm.
The show, was FANTASTIC.
Nicole Parker as Elphaba brought to the role some fantastic acting, some of the best EVER. Wonderful voice. I know ther are mixed reviews out there, but trust me, beleive ONLY the positive ones. She was FANTASTIC. Her Defying Gravity and No Good Deed in Particular impressed me. Alli Mauzey was hilarious, and amazing. In the "Popular" scene, when she said "Fiyero and I are going to be married" Most Glinda's just sing a high note or make a spazzy movement, but she ran to her bed, and SCREAMED into the pillow. It was HILARIOUS. She has a wonderful soprano, and did the Alli Note! (may also be known as the Hilty High note or the Cheno Note.) Aaron Tveit was so awesome. Great Fiyero, he did his special riff in Dancing Through Life. He and Nicole had wonderful Chemistry in The Lion Cub scene, and As Long as You're mine.
Alex Brightman was a Great Boq! Portrayed the Character Perfectly (though Brad is still the best :). Really felt his pain in the Goverener's Mansion scene. It was Cristy Candler's first night back in the company. Wonderful job. She was so good during Wicked Witch of the East, and her acting was great. Michael DeVries was a Great Dillamond! He was great, and I really enjoyed his performance! P.J. Benjamin did a Fantastic job...was just as amazing as the touring days! He still finds interest in the part, and makes him interesting to the audience. He has a really nice voice as well. Jayne Houdyshell did a very good job. She Gave a great performance... her speech in Defying Gravity was just as menacing as you could want.

After the show....

My Dad and I skipped curtain call, and ran to the Stage Door, I tripped down a few steps!
We got there, and First out was Kristen Leigh Gorski (Witch's Mother) who was Very nice, just like last time... Next was Jonathan Warren, who remembered me from Sunday, and said HEY! He signed, and Samantha Zack was out next, and she thanked me for my support, and for remembering her. She signed. Next was Nova, who obviously remembered me, and Thanked me for coming. Next was Sarah Bolt, who was very nice and Signed, and remembered me from last time... Brian Wanee was next out, and signed, and thanked me for coming, and asked me if I enjoyed the show... I said "Yes!" he said "Oh good! Thanks for coming..." Next was Briana Yacavone, who said "Hey K...! Thanks for comin'! Did you enjoy the show?" "I did! you were fantastic!" "Thanks so much!"She signed my poster and left. Next out was Ryan Patrick Kelly, who I said "hello!" to, and he said "Hey! Your K... from the Tour!" "yeah! Will you sign? you guys were great tonight!" "Sure! Thanks!" Next was Jerad Bortz, who came and signed... I said "Hey! You were in Pirate Queen! You are the 3rd person I've met this week who was in that show!" "Yeah! I was I had so much fun doing htat one! Glad you enjpyed the show! See you later!" Next out were Sam J. Chan and Jonathan McGill. They both signed... Sam said "Thanks for coming! I'm Glad you enjoyed it!" (Jonathan said something along those lines too) Next out was Tony! Yay! He was on for the Witch's Father, and he did a great Job! I thanked him again for the tour, and he said "No Problem! Did you like the show?" "Yes!" I said. Next out was Kenway Hon Wai K. Kua, who was nice, and Signed, and thanked me for coming... Next was Lindsay Janisse, who I asked to sign, and she did. After that was Robin Wilner, and she remembered me from sunday and said "hey again! Thanks for coming, Glad you Enjoyed it!" After Robin, pretty much the rest of the people to come out were the leads. Alex Brightman and Cristy Candler came out together, and I said "Hey Alex!" He said "Oh Hey again K...!" He came over and asked how I enjoyed the show... "It was great! you were awesome!" "Oh! Thanks Man!" Then Cristy came over, and said "Hey!" I said "hey" back! She said "How did you like the show?" "You guys were GREAT!" I reply "Oh! Thanks so much! " THen she and Alex started to sign. Alex asked "Are you saving this spot for Alli?" And I said "no, I think She'll sign around here", and Cristy Jokingly added "Yeah Alex! Don't take Alli's spot!" Then I said "Hey Can I get a Picture with you guys?" They said "Yeah! Of COurse!" Then Alex Jokingly added "Wait... No." He laughed, and we all got a picture... When the picture was done, I saw Alli Signing, but it did not look like her at first, so I said "Alex, is that Alli?" "Yes it is!" so she came over, and said "Heeeey!" and I said "Hello! You were fantastic!" "Oh Thank you!" I Said "Alli, I Actually have something for you" while she was sgining. "Whaaat? Oh, that's so nice!" she said. I said "Well First will you sign this little photoboard?" So she signed on her picture, and then I got our the Drawing That I did of her in the Catfight wih Marcie Dodd. she said "OH MY GOSH YOU DREW THIS? THIS IS BEAUTIFUL THANK YOU SO MUCH!" Alex Brightman passed by, and she turned and said "Oh Alex! Lookie what I got!" and showed it to him... He said "Oh! Wow! cool." She then gave me a big hug. SHe turned around to one of the guards and gave the drawing to him, and he took it inside. Alli Turned around to me and said "He's going to put it in my mailbox, so I can put it in my dressing room. Thank you so much. That is gorgeous." "You're welcome!" I said... I then said "Oh Alli, I have this picture of you pasted over Jennifer Laura Thompson's picture of the Grimmerie..." and she laughed SO HARD. She then wrote "Best Witches...(heart) Alli Mauzey."I then got a picture with her... She is so nice. Next out was P. J. Benjamin who recognized me and asked "How many times have you been to the show?" and I said "7" he said "Oh my gosh Wow... haha." He then signed the poster. Next out were Lindsay K. Northen, and Chelsea Krombach... I asked them to sign and they did. I asked "Lindsay, how did it go on Sunday?" "Great! Thanks!" And Chelsea told me it was nice to meet me again, and I said "You too!" Next was Jayne Houdyshell. She said "hey look! it's my buddy!" (I had run into her like 4 times earlier that week) I told her she was great and she said "Thanks!" The suspense was up... we were all waiting for Nicole, and the Door opened and out walked... A family who had just gotten a backstage tour. Ok Seriously. So about 5 minutes Later, out walks NICOLE PARKER! She walked up to me and said "Hey! It's K... right?" "Yeah! You were amazing!" "oH Thank you!" She signed the poster. I said Nicole I actually have something for you... I said "Well first, will you sign the photoboard?" So she wrote "To K... Nicole Parker" on it, and then i gave her the drawing. She looked like a child who got the bike they wanted for their birthday. "Oh My god. are you serious? This is for me?" "Yes" "Shut up! really? This is Beautiful, I... Well... Will you sign it? You are awesome!" I blinked, and said "Wha... Sure! So I wrote "You Rock Nicole!" and signed... SHe then gave me this big smile and a hug, and everyone at the door was giving thse little "Aw's" I then said "Hang on there is one more thing... I had to go through my mountain of programs and psters, and grimmereis (oh my). So I got to the page in the Grimmerie, where I put her head over Idina Menzel's, and she laughed really hard when she saw it... I asked her if she could write something funny, and she wrote "This is what I look like in the morning before coffee" and then signed. She gave me another hug, and I asked to get another picture! She said "Yeah! of course!" and we posed for a picture, but my camera died. My dad rummages around for his camera. and Nicole says "K... I'm gonna sign for these two, and then I'll come back just one sec..." so she does, and my dad takes the picture. Then I ask Nicole if Aaron Tveit was planning on coming out, and she said "I think he might have already! There's another exit..." SO I gave her the Drawing that I was gonna give to Aaron, and asked her if she could give it to him when she saw him next. She said "Sure! Thanks so muchf or my drawing!" I said "No Problem!" and then we left, because I had already met Aaron. That was one heck of a trip to Wicked. it was so awesome!

Saturday, December 5th, 2:00 PM

So Donna Vivino was on Vacation, and I knew that weeks in advance. I prepared to See Merideth Kaye Clark. Well, I got to the theatre, bought a billion Souvenirs grabbed a lot of playbills, and Went over to the Understudy Board..... to see that I would be seeing Stephanie Torns as Elphaba. I was a little confused. I was not upset that Stephanie would be on, but I had talked to MKC the day before and she had said "cya there" so I assumed she would be on. well, she wasnt. I thought "Maybe she'll be @ the Stage Door waiting for me?" but I was not overly hopeful.

The show started, and WOW:
Chandra Lee Schwartz as Glinda did an AMAZING job. her voice is perfect for the role. Her acting was wonderful, and she looked right at home in that bubble. Her popular was VERY different from Katie's, Meggie's, Or Alli's, but it was awesome and Hilarious All the Same.
I dont usually review the Witch's father (played by Kevin McMahon), but I feel like I need to point out how awesome a job he did. Stephanie Torns was amazing. Her voice was spellbinding. When she ran out at the beginning, she looked EXACTLY like Donna, it scared me a bit. She was the first Elphaba that I have seen that got entrance applause since Shoshana in Toronto. Steph's voice was shockingly original, yet in places, reminded me irresistably of Eden, Marcie, Teal, and Strangley, ...Nicole. She used alot of Edens Riffs, and on lower notes, sounded like Teal. When she rose in "Defying Gravity" she looked and sounded JUST like Marcie. and on the higher parts, I heard some Parker in her voice :) Excellent Job by Stephanie. Richard H. Blake: Exellent Fiyero. Very Different from Aaron Tveit or Cliffton Hall, but he did a wonderful Job. He played the more mature Fiyero. Steph and Chandra played off of him really well. Brynn O' Malley did Awesome job. She has a really powerful voice, and really acted the you know what out of the character. She and Deedee are the strongest Nessa's vocally I have ever seen. Ben Liebert really did a nice job expressing obsession over Glinda, and struggling against Nessa. He really looks the part, and he has a pretty awesome voice. Paul Slade Smith was awesome. This role was cut out for him or something. He was A great Witch's father both times I saw him, but is a billion times better as Dillamond. I really enjoyed his performance. Richard Kline did a wonderful Job (pun intended) I liked his voice, and you could see him kind of struggle with Morrible a little bit, almost like he didnt want to cause Elphaba any more trouble. Great Job. Randy Danson was excellent. I liked her alot. She made the role very funny, but still evil. I thought she was a great Morrible.

After the Show:

We Bolted back to the Stage Door. The cast had a rehersal after the show, so I was a little nervous as to who would come out. I met a good Deal of the Ensemble, most of whom rmembered me from Last July (Surprisingly) Renee Lawless Orsini (who I never met, or communicated with) came out and said "Hey there Kyle!!" I was like Whaaa? haha. Merideth Kaye Clark DID wait for me. It was amazing. She came out with The Playbill from Denver that Donna Vivino saved for me. She said "Hey! I have something from Donna, she wanted to make sure you got it." She talked to me for a long time. Signed my poster, and I opened my grimmerie up to the page where I put her head over Idina's in One short day, and she laughed really hard. then she wrote "I look great as a green bobble-head! All Love, Merideth Kaye Clark" Then I took a pic with her. She pulled away after the pic, and she said "Yeah, we got a picture in this same spot last time, but u were shorter!" and I said "And you had brown hair." They I gave her the poster that I made for her, and she loved it. :) I met Marissa Lupp and Stefanie Brown who came out together. They talked to me for a long time, then I got pics with the two of them together. I met Richard Kline, who was really nice. He pretended to give me a hard time. He was walking away, and I was like "Richard, will you sign for me?" and He fake slumped over. and Renee, who was still there was like "Oh he will sign for you, hes just pretending to give u a hard time." and Richard was like "No I could have kept walking! (obviously joking). Then I met Paul Slade Smith, who was awesome. I told him I had seen the show 8 times, and he was really excited abou that. Lol... Brynn O' Malley came out, and I was like "BRYNN O' MALLEY!" and she was all like HEYYYY! haha... So I said "I met you on Broadway on ur last day!" and she was like "Yeah, wasnt it Toby's birthday or something?" "Yeah" then we talked some more, and I got a pic with her. She was like "Nice to see you again" "You too!" then she left. Then a few more ensemble members came out. Then STEPHANIE TORNS! I got to talk to her, and she told me how nice it was to finally meet me, and etc etc... I told her she was amazing and all that jazz. haha.. She signed, and went back in for Chandra, (who never came out). then terra lynn arrington was walking out, and I was like "are you terra" and she looked a little shocked I was like "Sorry, I have met u like 3 times" and she was like "I thought u looked familliar" and she said "Im gonna sign in my usual sopt, u know where that is, unless someone already- AH (Steph Signed really big on the hat, where she normally signs.) she said "Tell Stephanie I'll beat her up later." Then, likle two more ensemble members came out, and I left. Considering they had a rehersal, it was a pretty good stage door expirience. I had a geat day. When More details come to mind aobut what Happened, I will post them. :) Cant wait to see it again! :)

9:30 AM Saturday, April 17th

So I had wanted to do "Behind the Emerald Curtain" for a LONG time, but never had the chance. Buf for the first time, I was In NYC on a Saturday Morning! But We Did'nt have tickets for the Tour. So Me and My Awesome Mom went to the theatre (from the Financial District... LONG way) to get tix. We ended up getting them, which was awesome. I was so excited to do this tour. So we get up the the exhibit, and I look at all the costumes up close. It was AMAZING. Then Sean McCourt comes in and talks to the group for a little bit about behind the scenes stuff (obviously) and his experiences with the show, and how he got to play Dillamond for a year, and how he played the Wiz on Kristin Chenoweth's last night. (I freakin touched Elphaba's hat. Shhh) Anyway, then he went into the house, and Anthony Galde came out and talked to the crowd, mostly about costume fitting. He asked ppl to raise their hands if they had seen the show, and said keep your hands up if youve seen it 1... 2... 3.... 4... and as the numbers got higher, handds dropped. by 6, my mom and I were the only ones with our hands in the air (dont judge us :) ) so he turned and said "How Many Times have you seen it?" I said "9 times after the matinee today" and he was like "Ok! Well! Thats... not normal, but thanks for your enthusiasm! He then explained lots of things that I will not explain on here, in case u havent seen the show. We then went into the house, and Sean Played a video, and they both talked about Pay, and About Idina Menzel's (injury filled ) last night in the show. Then we went into the lobby, and Sean and Anthony came out to sign Autographs. I had an old Playbill for them to sign, so I had Anthony Sign first. He saiid "Hey! I havent seen you in a while! How have you been? You've grown so much!" and we talked a bit. I was just kinda shocked that he remembered me! And then Sean was explaining to the crowd how Defying Gravity Works. While he signed my Wicked Playbill, and Mary Poppins Showbill, a girl dropped a u/s slip out of a playbill she was carrying. I had seen her grab a playbill inside of the house, so I asked her who the slip had on it. It said "At This Performance, the role of Elphaba will be played by Jennifer DiNoia" At that point, I began mentally perparing myself for Jenny to be on :)

11:30- My Mom and I ate at a place near the theatre. After that, we walked back down to the Gershwin. It was about 12:20. she told me she wanted to go to Cosi to get a desert, so I said "Can I stand by the Stage Door?" So I did :) First in was Kenway, who signed my Souvenir Program. I asked of Mandy and Katie would both be on, and he said "Mandy is actually out, but Katie should be on!" he went in and Checked, and sure enough "Jenny is schedueled for the Matinee." "Awesome!" Next in was Jennifer DiNoia! She came up, and I said "Are you Jenny?" and she was like "Yeah!" we had a really long talk! It was amazing. She signed, and Went in. Next in Was Sean McCourt (I dont know why, cause he isnt in the show anymore) But he signed, and I was like "Hey! Evil Bald Guy!" (Joke from Emerald Curtain) Jonathan Warren came in Next, and signed my program, he was very nice as usual. then there was a long wait. So As I am looking around, there is a Blonde Girl in a white coat coming up toward the stage door. I started thinking, Hmmm, Is that her? No, It cant be... Is it? YES! as she came closer to the door, I realized it was indeed KATIE ROSE CLARKE. If you are wondering why this is such a big deal for me, I didnt get the chance to meet her in Cleveland, and Meggie was on in Buffalo, and I didnt get to see the show in Pittsburgh. So I had waited over 2 years to meet her, and she was so nice! A little reservec, because it was before the show, but I was like "I SAW YOU IN CLEVELAND, YOU ARE AMAZING OH MY GOSH! AAAAH!" haha... she signed my program, and asked if I was going to see the show that day, and I said yes. I had her (finally) sign my grimmerie on that picture that I wanted her to sign on tour. After Katie, Kathy Santen came in, and I talked to her about How I saw her in Chicago as the Midwife. Nathan Peck Came in and I was like "You did the tour!" "Yeah!" PJ Benjamin came in and I told him it was my 4th time seeing him as the Wizard. he was like "Oh My Gosh!" and we talked a bit. Next in was Nova Bergeron, who is one of my favorite people to talk to at a stage door, cause she is so nice, and of course she remembered me from previos trips. Next in was Mark Shunkey, and once Again, I had that 2 second shock where I thought it was Brad Weinstock. (Happened to me in Buffalo too) but he was nice, and remembered the "one time that happened before" (these peoples memories are amazing) Next was Eddie Pendergraft, and Lindsay K. Northen, who both signed, and Lindsay of course remembered me. Next was Lindsay Janisse, who is always a nice person, and she signed, but told me she would not be coming out after the show, because she had rehersal for Easter Bonnet. Robin Wilner and Sarah Bolt came in next, and were both extremely nice. Robin and Sarah Both remembered me from 2oo9. Amanda Rose came in Next, and talked to me, and remembered my fan letter from when she played Nessa on tour. David Hull came in next, and since I had'nt seen Alex Brightman go in, I assumed he was on for Boq. Wrong. He doesnt understudy Boq anymore, Alex want in REALLY early I guess :) Next was Timothy Britten Parker, I saw him get out of a Taxi, and he came up signed, and told me he wouldnt come out after because of rehersal, then took a pic with me. Michael DeVries came in,a nd talked to me, and remembered me from last year. He was very nice as usual. I then saw STEPHANIE TORNS! (By The Way, its really weird having one of ur previous Elphabas be in the Ensemble the next time seeing the show.) I talked to her, and she was like "HEYYY! How are you?!?! Its great to see you!" It was pretty awesome. Next was Andy Karl, and I complimented the Oz Blog, and he was nice. Last in Was Jenny Fellner, Nessa, who was really nice, and said "see you after the show! and thanks for the mail!" Then I saw......

WICKED (for the 9th time :) )
Jenny DiNoia was Absolutley INCREDIBLE. Let me tell you, she has a VOICE. She was Such an amazing Elphaba, and her No Good Deed in Particular was a standout. she sang Defying Gravity with so much power, and tried LOTS of new riffs, including the high "De-FY-ying" where she moved up and down all over that note. It was insane. Katie Rose Clarke was brilliant as ever. She toned her Popular down a bit, (but not too much) from Cleveland. In Cleveland she ran laps around the stage and jumped around a lot mor I am not sure which one I liked better. She was so good. NOMTW was great, and Popular was Hysterical. She was soo good. Andy Karl was very good as Fiyero. Pretty Awesome DTL. ALAYM was very good. He was very funny in the role, and it was a very good take on the character. I think he could have played with the character a bit more, but that might just be me. He was excellent. PJ was even better this time around. His voice has gotten stronger, and he keeps growing into his character. He continues to search for the truth in the Wizard, even though he has been playing the role for well over 5 years now. Rondi Reed- was very good. It was pretty great to see her as Morrible again, and her Morrible has changed quite a lot since Chicago. He seems to know the character better now (She was great in Chicago though) As Nessa, Jenny Fellner had a COMPLETLEY different take on the character, and she rocked it. I really liked her Nessarose, it was more vulnerable, and bipolar than Most other Nessa's who are really just angry and hurt most of the time (Which is not a bad thing). Alex Brightman's Boq has changed SOOOOO much since the first time I saw him. His voice is different, and his acting choices were different, but they worked! He gave a great performance!!! He still doesn't top Brad, but he is very very good in the role. Timothy Britten Parker! I was Very Excited I got to finally see him! He was great! and he is also the first OTC member of WICKED I have seen!

AFTER THE SHOW:

I began running to the stage door, but on the way bought a full cast signed BC/EFA poster. When i got to the stage Door, Nova Bergeron BOLTED out, but signed for everyone there. Next out was Sarah Bolt, and she didnt BOLT (get it? HAHAHAHA *Snort*) but she was very nice, and signed for everyone. Next was Michael DeVries, and behind him, PJ. Michael signed, but PJ left before I could get him :( Oh well, I have met him like a hundred times. David Hull Came out next, and signed. he was very nice. and we talked bout the first tour. Hes awesome! Nathan Peck was Next. He signed and talked. Very nice guy! Lindsay Northen was next, and I congratulated her on her engagement (not to Fiyero) Robin Wilner came out and signed for us, and talked with us. Alex Brightman came out, and signed, and talked to me, and remembered me from last year. Hes a very nice person! Steph Torns was next. She talked to me for like a year. She is the coolest person ever. Next was Andy Karl, And Jenny Fellner. They both signed, and talked to us and took pictures. They were both so nice. Next out was Katie, who was much less reserved now that she was done for the afternoon. She talked a lot more, and was laughing. I gave her the poster I made for her,a nd she loved it :) I told her "Katie, this is why you are my favorite Glinda." she was like "You are so sweet Kyle!" and talked to me a lot :) Now I had seen A red haired girl chillin outside the stage door before, and I thoight she looked familliar, but I couldnt place the face. But then after, I realized she was Erin Mackey! She came out and was signing, and she signe all of my stuff, and was really nice! I told her we used to write, and she remembered me! Right behind her was Jenny DiNoia, who talked to me for a REEAAAAAALLLY long time. She told me she would send back the mail i sent her a year before. she was so nice! I loved the show, and cannot wait to see it again! TTYL ppl!
