Kyle Dean Massey will return to the Broadway company of Wicked beginning December 17th. Current Fiyero Derek Klena will play his final performance on the 15th, this Sunday. Massey has a long history with Wicked, appearing on and off in both the Broadway and 1st National Touring companies of the show. He began his time in the show on the First National Tour in 2007 as an ensemble member, understudying the role of Fiyero. In summer of 2008, he transferred to the Broadway production, and remained until May 2009, when he left to play Gabe for the summer in Next to Normal. He returned to the show that September, where he remained until taking over as Gabe in Next to Normal full-time in January 2010. After Next to Normal closed in 2011, he returned to the Gershwin, this time as full-time Fiyero for a three week run, and then again in August of 2011 for a two week run. He returned to the 1st National Touring company in November 0f 2011, where he played Fiyero until February of 2012. Massey then returned to the Broadway company of Wicked in July of 2012, and played Fiyero until May 2013, which is his longest engagement playing the role to date. Welcome back Kyle!
