Hey guys! I was in NYC over the weekend and I didn't get to see Wicked. However, Christine Dwyer was on for Elphaba on Friday night, and I hadn't seen her in person since I saw her go on in 2011 and I wanted to say hi! Christine is one of my favorite Elphabas, onstage and off. Her voice is absolutely phenomenal and so powerful and she's a sickly talented actress. She's also such a gracious human being and I wanted to dedicate today's post to her. I look horrible in the photo to the left, but I so appreciated Christine coming out and talking to us for a good 10 minutes. She came AROUND the barricade and had a legitimate conversation with the few of us that waited, despite just having performed a beast of a role onstage. She is such a gracious human being and seemed to really appreciate that people waited for her. I got so tongue tied as I often do, but she was totally cool about it :) I love her story of how she came to be a Wicked fan and that she eventually got the role, and I am so happy that she has found herself on Broadway. She worked hard on the road, and is now working hard in NYC. You guys, this rock star is the standby for Elphaba on Broadway and will be there a while, so if you go and see the show and she's your Elphaba, REJOICIFY!
Hi Wicked fans! This website opened in June 2007, when I decided that since several people seemed not to enjoy my constant talking about and obsession with the show, I would put some of that passion and talkativeness online in the form of a fan blog! And I am glad I did! Flying High earned the Official Wicked Seal of Approval in August of 2009. In addition, it was honored by Wicked on October 23, 2013 in the "30 Days of Flight" event in celebration of Wicked's 10th Anniversary on Broadway, two qualifications that I am very proud of. I hope you enjoy it!

My name is Kyle, I am 20 years old, and a Junior studying Arts Administration at Penn State University. I have seen Wicked 23 times across the cities of NYC, Buffalo, Toronto, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Columbus, Toledo, Chicago and London.
This site was founded in June 2007 at age 11 as a way to keep involved in the Wicked world and not annoy everyone I met by constantly talking about it, and shortly after, it ended up blowing up. In 2009 it won the Official Wicked Seal of Approval, awarded to a limited number of Wicked fan sites. In 2013, it was recognized by Wicked's Facebook/Twitter page in honor of their 30 Days of Flight, celebrating the show's 10th Anniversary on Broadway.
I love Wicked but I also love other musicals! Pippin, The Book of Mormon, Les Mis, Miss Saigon, Next to Normal, If/Then, Kinky Boots, Spring Awakening, Hairspray and Newsies are some of my favorites! I perform constantly, my favorite recent role being Moritz in Spring Awakening at PSU, and I write my own music.
In addition, I love non musical theatre music as well. I am obsessed with Billboard Magazine and I love pop, rock, country, r&b, urban, dance, and so many different styles of music! If you love Kelly Clarkson, you would probably be a good friend of mine. Huge Mirfanda. In addition, I love skiing, playing tennis, and working out every day.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you like this site!
