Goodbye Lindsay Mendez, Alli Mauzey, Kyle Dean Massey, Tom McGowan and Carol Kane!

Yesterday Wicked on Broadway said goodbye to it's 5 stars, Lindsay Mendez (Elphaba), Alli Mauzey (Glinda), Kyle Dean Massey (Fiyero), Tom McGowan (The Wizard) and Carol Kane (Madame Morrible).
Lindsay Mendez
Lindsay Mendez joined the Wicked family in 2013, replacing Willemijin Verkaik as Elphaba on Broadway in May.  She performed for several landmark performances, including Wicked's 4000th performance on Broadway and Wicked's 10th Anniversary on Broadway.  She also was the star of the extremely popular backstage Broadway.com Wicked blog "Fly Girl".  Tom McGowan joined Wicked in 2009 when the Second National Tour opened in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.  He has since performed in the Broadway (2011), San Francisco (2009-10) and First National Touring (2012) companies of Wicked.  Carol Kane originated the role of Madame Morrible on the First National Tour (2005), Los Angeles (2007, 2009) and San Francisco (2009) companies of Wicked, and has previously appeared in the Broadway company (2006).  Kyle Dean Massey joined the Wicked family in 2007 as an ensemble member and understudy for Fiyero on the First National Tour.  In 2008, he joined the Broadway company in the same track and remained until summer 2009, when he left the company to replace Aaron Tveit in Next to Normal.  In September 2009, he returned to Wicked through the end of the year, replacing Aaron Tveit in Next to Normal permanently in 2010.  In February and August 2011, Massey returned to the Broadway company as full time Fiyero for three weeks, and in November 2011, he hit the road with the show again as full time Fiyero on the First National Tour for three months.  In July 2012, he returned again to the Broadway company as Full time Fiyero, playing a 10 month contract, and returned at the end of 2013 for this current run.  Alli Mauzey joined Wicked in 2007 as the standby for Glinda in the Broadway company.  She returned to the role full time on Broadway in November 2008, and played Glinda on Broadway through August 2009.  She then replaced Kendra Kassebaum in the San Francisco company of Wicked in June 2010 and closed out the company.  After 2010, she took a break and returned in February 2012 to the First National Tour and played Glinda for 6 months, eventually returning to the Broadway company in October.  She remained until April 2013, and took the summer off, returning in September.

I have seen Alli Mauzey as Glinda four times, Kyle Dean Massey as Fiyero five times and Tom McGowan as the Wizard once.  I absolutely love each of them and what they bring to the role.  Lindsay Mendez is absolutely spectacular and I love Carol Kane to pieces.  They will be sorely missed!

Alli Mauzey
All of these lovely folks will be missed and I wish them the best in the future, and best wishes to their replacements, Christine Dwyer (Elphaba), Jenni Barber (Glinda), Justin Guarini (Fiyero), P.J. Benjamin (The Wizard), Mary Testa (Madame Morrible) and Anne Brummel (Elphaba standby).
